This project for the Queensland Government is for a long Daycare facility and Community Health Services building which has been constructed alongside the Acacia Ridge State School. 80 children from babies to five year olds will use the Daycare facility which is state of the art and beautifully and thoughtfully designed.
The project is a prototype, which the state government is looking to roll out in a variety of locations around Queensland. It is engineered to a higher standard of durability so that it can be used as a Community Refuge in extreme weather like cyclones and storms for the local community in Acacia Ridge.
The job commenced in March 2011 and was handed over to the client on January 9, 2012. Approximately 170 employees and contractors were mobilised on this project.
Troy Evans is the Canstruct Site Manager with Joshua Hoar as Project Manager. Canstruct Group CEO, Rory Murphy commented that "Troy and Josh deserve special accolades for the way they have managed the project and congratulations for bringing the project to completion on time. Well done!"
