In late December, 2011 Canstruct successfully finished a major civil project for the PNG Sustainable Development Program Ltd, which is a major company owned by the PNG government.
Canstruct’s job was to perform Maritime Works and Geotechnical Investigations for a major port to be built at Daru in Papua New Guinea. This is now complete, but as in all major endeavours, the very best outcome of all will be for the people of Daru, who currently live in third world conditions. CEO of the Canstruct and Force 10 Group, Rory Murphy has completed with flying colours the Queensland Leaders structured year-long program.
Queensland's top exporters were recognised at the 22nd annual Premier of Queensland's Export Awards. Canstruct was a finalist in the Large Services Award which was won by Xstrata Technology.
