Construction at the brand new Endeavour Foundation site at Wacol is all but complete. The Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner West celebrated on site with management and staff from Endeavour Foundation at a special dinner last Thursday 16 May.
A further $50,000 was donated to this wonderful cause, which takes total donations to over $180,000 to date. The Rotarians have worked extremely hard to raise money for this project for two years now. They are also planning to do the landscaping once the building has been handed over to Endeavour.
It was the first time that staff from Endeavour Foundation had been allowed on site and they were very impressed with the new building. They hope to be able to start work in the building later this week, which is a month ahead of the schedule and an awesome achievement.
Andrew Donne, who is the General Manager of Commercial Operations for Endeavour Foundation publicly acknowledged at the dinner the huge contribution made by Robin Murphy, who is the Founding Director of Canstruct and a longterm member of the Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner West. Robin has been a driving force of this project from the very beginning.
Andrew also made it clear that the new Endeavour Foundation building would not have been possible without the support both moral and financial of the Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner West. Former President of the Club, Adrian Smith had the original idea to take on a major charity project and he and a small sub-committee then chose Endeavour Foundation as the beneficiary.
The Rotary fundraising sub-committee includes – Terry Barron, Bob McDonald, Ken Saunders, John Gough, Andrew Roe and Bill Watson. These gentlemen have worked tirelessly to raise money for this project. Well done one and all!
